Islamic Dress Code

O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness – that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.

  • Hanafi – only during difficult times – only in fajr in 2nd unit upon standing up from the ruku’. No raising hands.
  • Shafi’ – after fajr daily. During difficulty – in all prayers.
  • Malik – Only Fajr. Quietly
  • Hambali – Can do during any prayer except Jumu’ah. Raise hands after ruku’ both imam and followers.

Any dua can be said.
