Unfortunately many people are not aware of the necessity to verify the entitlement of zakat recipient
Do not give zakat without investigating entitlement of the zakat recipient as per shariat
If the agent you have delegated your zakat hasn’t investigated then your zakat obligation hasn’t been fulfilled.
